Anatomy of Flight
So it’s reported that Lou hit the jump at 25mph. You can see just how high off the ground his front wheels are in the first photo. Figure the front bumper is probably head height of the average male.
And then down it comes. It’s the second photo that blows my mind. Take a moment to look closely. The bumper is on the pavement. Look at that front tire! Look at that distortion! Now, turn your attention to the roofrack. The CB antenna is thrown forward…the ladder and the shovel are airborne! The back wheels are airborne, too!
I can only hope he had that GoPro camera running! Photos by Logan Campbell.
Left some tracks.
Had to go get a little dirty.
Time for some bus content!
Took this back before I did the two-tone rattle can paint. Was up on Summit Road in the Santa Cruz Mountains with my friend who composed this shot. It’s an overlay over multiple digital images. Check out CauseyDesigns for more of his goodness!
This just needs to be on my dash right now.
Trailbash through the Pine Barrens of NJ - Aug. 2011
Got 14 minutes to spare? Well, even if you don’t…take what time you can and watch this. It’s Mudride love at its best!
Mind you, on the west coast we call this Rampaging and we tend to do it in winter! However, I’d love to head east some summer and partake in this fun!
I wonder what this must have looked like after Irene blew through….
