Just as a hello, here’s a shot of my bus from inside the wife’s 1964 Notchback from last night!

Finally brought the wife’s Notchback over to Livermore today. Stopped for a photoshoot on Sheridan Road.

Parked by Amber’s Notchback tonight.

Such a sexy Notchback! Gotta get the scripts and license plate light on Amber’s ‘64 and find those flat tail lights!

Dirt! Yes, quite a bit of it, too!

Last weekend as we were all working on the wife’s Notchback, we discovered an interesting feature to the system that draws air into the engine compartment on a Type 3.

Well, long story short, it actually is remarkably easy for leaves and crud to get down into that area (doubly so if the car is parked for long period of time as her’s was before we bought it). But there are little rubber flaps underneath the car to let stuff out. And here’s about a pound of dirt that we cleaned out of that area!

Swapped out the exhaust, adjusted the linkage geometry, replaced the accelerator cable, and synced the carbs. Happy motor.

We got some good work done on the wife’s Notchback today!
